RecycleIT
Scan for a greener future
A Young Enterprise Startup Company
About Us
RecycleIT was founded in 2020 by a group of 5 Young Enterprise Students as an innovative effort to combat climate change and pollution across New Zealand. Recyclable waste in New Zealand contributes to 72% of landfill with most of it able to be diverted to recycling. New Zealand can no longer ship waste off overseas so we now need to deal with it ourselves. However, with little education and information, Kiwis struggles to efficiently do so, accelerating impacts of climate change.

RecycleIT is a mobile app where users can scan barcodes on existing packaging, allowing them to discover the recycling information. Our app is community based which means users have the opportunity to add to the database, allowing for a more recycle-literate generation.
